 Tina's Story

Tina was diagnosed with a not-so-familiar disease at the age of 17, her senior year in high school. She has learned to overcome and be positive during any crisis. Her motto has been that God gave her cabbage and instructed her to make lemonade, because turning lemons to lemonade would have been too easy. Thus, she has acquired the ability to do so simply by transforming cabbage into lemonade.

Through her direct sales business, she also helps women with color and skin challenges. She is an ambassador for Donate Life America, where she shares her story of her kidney transplant and encourages others to become organ donors.

Organ Donation
Dream Catcher

While raising funds to receive a kidney transplant, Tina designed a dream catcher for organ donation. Dream catchers are used over beds or windows. While a person sleeps, if they have a nightmare, the dream catcher catches the nightmare in its web and disperses it in the light of the sun.

Each color of Tina's dream catcher signifies a different part of her disease and journey with organ donation. Purple signifies Lupus, Blue and Green signify Organ Donation, and White represents Life.
